Halit Ömer Camci was born in Ordu in 1975. He started taking photos in 1995. He graduated from Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University. For almost 20 years, he has worked as a photo journalist/photo editor in many magazines and a set photographer for some movies. 

He has held exhibitions in Chicago, Jakarta, Damascus, Colombia, Georgia, Los Angeles and Istanbul. He has held photography shows and interviews in places like Tarik Zafer Tunaya, Atatürk Kitapligi (Atatürk Library), Yerebatan Sarnici (Basilica Cistern) and Istanbul Tasarim Merkezi (Istanbul Design Center).

Camci, who has one short film and awards from many events, has photographed almost all of Turkey and tens of countries. He also attended many photography contests as a jury. The artist who has many album books, taught photography in Bilim Sanat Vakfi (The Foundation for Sciences and Arts), Halic University, Cennet Kultur Sanat Merkezi (Cennet Culture and Art Center), Marmara Akademi (Marmara Academy), Petkim and TTNET. 

In 2011, he prepared a map for Evliya Celebi’s travels for Ministry of Culture. He founded Gezgin Magazine in 2007, and Gezgin Photography Atelier in 2010. He has produced for TRT and THY. For THY, he prepared Tourism Guide of Turkey in four languages. 

His photographs were also published in foreign publications such as Rahhal, Conde Naste Traveler, Wall Paper and LosAngeles Times. Camci is still producing photographs for stock photo websites such as Shutterstock and Adobestock, and videos for his YouTube channel.
